Blak Nite
Blak Nite is a DJ/producer from London who demands attention. Dealing in a genre that’s becoming saturated with copycats and ‘anything goes’ mentalities, his debut EP, “Hyde” brings to it a much needed sense of flair, originality and technical prowess that can easily stand up alongside established acts like SebAstian, Proxy and Boys Noize.
Dark and intense, the EP opens with a haunting noise that seems to resemble a ship’s foghorn; a brief warning before it throws you into a sea of dirty, glitchy synths and speaker-crushing mayem that can only be held together by some impressively mature production. It’s a loud, brash statement that’s not just an introduction to an incredibly exciting prospect, but already some of the best electronic and dance music you’ll have heard in a long time.
